trucks to 32,000 distribution outlets in the region. Our factories
produce almost 1 billion
loaves, buns and snack cakes each year.
In recognition of our commitment to constant product innovation and excellence, Gardenia has been awarded 'Superbrand' status in the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore, where it was also named "Category Leader".
In Singapore, the Gardenia plant has evolved from a humble in-store bakery into one of the most technologically advanced and automated state-of-the-art plants in the region.
This premier sandwich loaf
bakery was the first bakery in Asia to be awarded the
prestigious ISO 9002 Quality Certificate and HACCP safety
certification. In 2006 it was
the first bakery
in Singapore to be named Food Safety Partner by the Agri-Food
Veterinary Authority. In 2015, Gardenia’s steadfast commitment
to the maintenance of the highest standards of food safety was
rewarded when it became the first bakery in Singapore to be
awarded the Platinum award from the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) for attaining ‘Grade A’ status for excellence in food hygiene, sanitation and processing for 20
consecutive years, from 1995 to 2014.
Gardenia's wide range of products cater to every taste with more than
50 different varieties of plain, enriched, flavoured and specialty fruit and nut breads and buns, European crusty country breads, and quick frozen par baked or fully-baked gourmet breads. Our innovative team regularly adds new flavours and varieties to our line of bakery products. Bread vending machines located in selected high density residential areas,
factories, student hostels and schools also provide customers with greater convenience and accessibility to Gardenia's bread and bun products
at any time of the day or night.
Bonjour also carries its own unique range of plain and flavoured breads and
tasty butter croissants. The Bonjour plant is ISO 9001/2000 Certified.
In Malaysia, Gardenia's plants are capable
of producing more than 700 million loaves, snack cakes, buns and rolls
per annum, making it the largest wholesale bakery in South-east Asia.
Credited with revolutionising the bread industry, Gardenia was the first bread company in Malaysia to undertake the direct distribution of its own bread and provide consumers with essential nutritional information and the consumption expiry date on each loaf of bread.
We have an excellent and extensive distribution network of more than 23,000 outlets throughout Peninsular Malaysia. As part of our commitment to provide customers with the highest quality products, Gardenia Malaysia has attained ISI 2020 and HACCP certification.
Gardenia was voted Malaysian consumers' most
favorite bread brand in nation-wide surveys by Superbrands in
2009 and 2011. It also won Gold awards for 6 consecutive years in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 at the
Putra Brand Awards when it was voted Malaysian consumers' most
preferred bread brand. In 2013, Gardenia was also awarded the Putra Brand Icon in recognition of its consistently clinching the Gold Award in the Foodstuff category.
In the Philippines, Gardenia dominates the Metro Manila branded bread market with
a market share in excess of 60%. Gardenia produces a wide array of superior bakery products including sandwich breads, health breads, flavoured loaves, pandesal, buns and snack cakes.
Its commitment to quality won it the coveted
ANCA Award as the most "Outstanding Bread Manufacturer" by the
Consumer's Union of the Philippines from 2004 to 2008 and
Superbrand status from 2004 to 2010.
The Gardenia plant in Binan, Laguna was the first in the Philippines' bread manufacturing industry to be awarded both ISO 9001/2000 Certification and the HACCP Certification for food safety.
Our distribution network has grown at a
rapid pace. Gardenia's products are widely distributed
throughout the entire Luzon archipelago and the Western Visayas.
Roll-on roll-off vessels bring freshly-baked Gardenia bread to
the Eastern part of the Visayas. From its new plant in Cebu
province, Gardenia products have also made inroads into the Central
Visayas and Northern Mindanao markets.
In 2015, the Philippine bakery operations expanded into the unpackaged bread market with investments in the ‘Big Smile’ chain of community bakeries and ‘Bakers Maison’, an artisanal bakery offering authentic French-style breads and pastries.
The Gardenia factory in Fujian province, China, officially commenced operations in October 2014. Its four automated production lines have a combined production capacity of more than 13 million loaves of bread, snack cakes, buns and rolls per annum. The products are distributed to nine major cities in Fujian province. The Gardenia Fujian operation is a pilot project and a foothold for the future expansion of Gardenia into the Greater China market.
Bakers Maison is a specialist baker producing a full range of premium French-style par baked and frozen breads and pastries. Located in Sydney, Australia, our bakery supplies to the food service sector comprising hotels, restaurants, food caterers, airlines, cafes, convenience stores, canteens and supermarkets.
Bakers Maison's products are distributed throughout Australia, as far as Tasmania, Western Australia and Northern Territories. Products include variants of baguette, batards, bread rolls, mixed pastries and sweets.
